The Indian Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will also have to pay a heavy price for refusing to send Team India to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy.
According to Indian media reports, Pakistan has agreed to the Champions Trophy on a hybrid model, but has imposed a condition that the ICC men's and women's competitions to be held in India in 2027 will also be played under the same model, which will prevent the Indian Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from earning money from Pakistan-India matches.
After the consent of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI), the ICC is expected to announce its decision on December 7. According to senior journalist Saleem Khaliq, after the ICC meeting was canceled, Jay Shah and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held an informal meeting in which matters were settled.
Earlier, Pakistan had demanded a hybrid model for all matches scheduled in India until 2031, to which the Indian Board (BCCI) expressed its displeasure, but Pakistan stood by its stance, while now it has been suggested that Dubai be made the center of Pakistan-India matches for the 2027 events.
During this period, India will co-host the Women's ODI World Cup in October this year and the 2026 T20 World Cup with Sri Lanka. If the arrangements are finalized, Pakistan will play its matches in co-host Sri Lanka or Dubai.
