A Unique Record set by Saim Ayub after winning 1st ODI against South Africa.


Pakistan defeated South Africa by just 3 wickets in the match played in Paarl yesterday to win the first ODI match.

In this match, South Africa had given Pakistan a target of 240 runs to win, but the Pakistani batting line-up was shaky and lost 4 wickets for just 60 runs. However, Saim Ayub and Salman Agha played an important role in ensuring the victory of the Green Shirts in the match by establishing a partnership of 141 runs for the fifth wicket.

Opener Saim Ayub played an innings of 109 runs off 119 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes.

With this innings, he became the youngest player to score a century against South Africa, he achieved this feat at the age of 22 years and 207 days.

Saim Ayub has surpassed several cricketing legends with a feat, previously Quinton de Kock achieved this milestone in 2016 at the age of 23 years and 48 days.

Overall, Saim Ayub is the third youngest player to score a century against South Africa in ODI cricket, previously Ahmed Shehzad (22 years, four days) and Kane Williamson (22 years, 167 days) achieved this feat at the age of 22 years, 4 days.
