Latest News: What Gautam Gambhir Suggest To Babar Azam

While giving an interview to a sports website, former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir said, "I think Babar will need to change his personality, playing style, and most importantly, his mindset." He further stated, "Pakistan's batters have always had a history of being aggressive against the opposition team right from the start, Imran Nazir, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Anwar, and Amir Sohail used to display an aggressive style of play right from the beginning. They need to take responsibility like the other players." The former cricketer said, "The team plays as the captain plays, both Babar Azam and Rohit Sharma scored half-centuries, one made 50 runs, while the other made 80 runs, but neither of them achieved a century, the only difference was in their playing style." Gautam Gambhir also mentioned that if Pakistan had been chasing 190 runs, their mentality would have been solely focused on winning the game, whether they reached the target in 35 or 40 overs. He added, "If the captain is defensive, the team will also be defensive. You cannot tell the other 10 players in the room, 'You play positively, but I will hold back and defend.' It should be noted that questions have been raised about Babar Azam's captaincy in the past by former Indian cricketers.
